This is now an old design project with a lot of emotional value for me.
I created this simple project for my son, to celebrate his birthday.
The bed platform was made with hard maple plywood in the shape of a rocket ship.
Very little went to waste on this design, as the body of the ship uses about 90% of the material from 4×8 sheet of plywood. The tip of the rocket ship is meant to be used as a play table.
The 8-inch bed legs are made of galvanized tubing, flanges and connectors.
